Questions · Using Newfound Value
How does Newfound Value come up with a price?
Short answer
It identifies the item from your photo, applies Newfoundland rules (freight, the island premium, seasonal demand), pulls today's online prices from Google Shopping, and gives one number to pay with a confidence score.
Three prices, one number
New, used in NL, used on the mainland, then a max smart price for the setting you are in: a bid at auction, an offer on Marketplace, or a walk-away price at a yard sale.
What it cannot do
No store shares live inventory, so "likely carried by" is a guess. Numbers are estimates, not appraisals for insurance or lending. A low confidence score means verify, not walk away.
How to get a better answer
Labels and model stickers in the photo, the asking price filled in, and one line on condition. Several things in the shot? It asks which one, free.
